More Moorgate success

The 2019 Hull Easter Open saw Moorgate's Josh Bows and Danny Hernandez Black try to maintain their recent run of good results, in a high quality week of tennis.
Josh entered the 18 and Under Boys Singles as number one seed and in the quarter finals had an epic battle with Yorkshire county colleague, Alexander Tikhonov, which he won 11-9, on a championship tie break.
In the semi finals he defeated the number 3 seed, and highest rated player, Thomas Linley, who retired, with the score standing at 7-5 3-0, in favour of Josh, to set up a final, which pitted the number 4 player in Yorkshire, against Matthew Nice, the number 4 player in Northumberland.
Josh was always in control, in the final, winning in straight sets, 6-4 6-4.
Josh then moved on to the 16 and Under event, which was a round robin tournament, which came down to the matches involving Josh and his county colleagues Michael McDougall and Lleyton Scott and two comfortable wins, in those matches saw Josh take his second title of the week.
Josh and Danny then teamed up in the 16 and Under Boys Doubles, which was also played on a round robin basis, which saw them come out on top, in a very tight contest, by virtue of sets won.
